THIS PROMOTION IS INTENDED FOR ENTRY IN THE UNITED STATES ONLY AND WILL BE GOVERNED BY U.S. LAW. DO NOT ENTER IF YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE OR YOU ARE NOT LOCATED IN THE UNITED STATES AT THE TIME OF ENTRY.


DATES OF SWEEPSTAKES: The “Saffron Road Trip Sweepstakes” (the “Sweepstakes”) begins at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on January 18, 2018 and ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on March 31, 2018 (the “Sweepstakes Period”). The Sweepstakes Period is subject to two (2) entry periods (each, an “Entry Period”) as follows:

There is a total limit of five (5) Entries per person during the Sweepstakes Period. Please visit the “HOW TO ENTER” section below to determine how to receive all five (5) Entries.


ELIGIBILITY: The Sweepstakes is open only to permanent legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years of age or older and the age of majority in their state of primary residence at the time of entry. The Entrant who is selected as the potential grand prize winner (the “Grand Prize Winner”) must have a unique, personal and valid social security number for Sponsor (defined below) to report the tax liability associated with acceptance of the grand prize (the “Grand Prize”). Valid social security numbers will be determined by Internal Revenue Service (“IRS”) requirements as further defined in the “PRIZE CLAIMS” section of these Official Rules. Officers, directors, managers and employees of the American Halal Company ( “Sponsor”), and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, and related companies, dealers, advertising and promotion agencies, consultants and agents, as well the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings and children) and household members of each such person, and any others engaged in the development, production, execution or distribution of this Sweepstakes, including National Sweepstakes Company, LLC (the “Independent Administrator”) are not eligible to participate. Sweepstakes is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations. Sweepstakes is void outside the fifty (50) United States, the District of Columbia and wherever else restricted or prohibited by law. Entrants who have previously won a contest, sweepstakes or promotion of any kind sponsored or otherwise associated with Sponsor, within thirty (30) calendar days immediately preceding the start of this Sweepstakes are ineligible to participate or win the Grand Prize.


HOW TO ENTER: There are two (2) ways to enter this Sweepstakes:


  1. Online: Visit www.saffronroadsweeps.com (the “Website”) during the Sweepstakes Period and complete the official entry form (“Entry Form”) in its entirety, including your first name, last name, address, city, state, zip code, email address and telephone number (including area code). Then, check the box indicating you agree to these Official Rules and click the “Sign Up” button in order to receive one (1) initial entry (“Initial Entry”) into the Sweepstakes. If desired, earn up to three (3) additional entries (“Bonus Entries”) by sharing the Sweepstakes on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest when prompted. SEE ENTRY LIMITS BELOW.

  2. Event: Visit the Sponsor booth at an event (each, an “Event”) and complete the Entry Form via the tablet provided by the Sponsor representative. Upon clicking the “Sign Up” button you will receive one (1) Initial Entry into the Sweepstakes. The Events are:


Entry Period 1: Fancy Food Show, located at Moscone Center (747 Howard St, San Francisco, CA 94103). Sponsor booth will be open between the hours of 8:00 a.m. Pacific Time (“PT”) and 6:00 p.m. PT from January 21, 2018 through January 23, 2018.

Entry Period 2: Natural Products Expo West, located at Anaheim Convention Center (800 West Katella Avenue, Anaheim, CA 92802). Sponsor booth will be open between the hours of 8:00 a.m. PT and 6:00 p.m. PT from March 8, 2018 through March 11, 2018.


ENTRY LIMITS: The total number of Initial Entries allowed in this Sweepstakes is two (2), equivalent to one (1) Initial Entry in Entry Period 1 and one (1) Initial Entry in Entry Period 2. The total number of Bonus Entries allowed in this Sweepstakes is three (3). Bonus Entries may be obtained in Entry Period 1, Entry Period 2 or a combination of the two (2) Entry Periods. The total maximum number of Entries and Entrant can earn in this Sweepstakes is five (5).


Any attempt by an Entrant to obtain more than the stated number of Entries by using multiple/different identities, email addresses, telephone numbers, and/or any other methods will void that Entrant’s Entry and that Entrant may be disqualified from the Sweepstakes. Each Entrant must be the rightful owner (or have authorized use) of the email address associated with the Entrant's Entry. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting an Entry, the Entry will be deemed submitted by the person in whose name the email account (provided via the Entry Form) is registered (the “Authorized Account Holder”). The Authorized Account Holder is the natural person who is assigned to the email address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses, or the domain associated with the submitted email address. Potential Grand Prize Winner may be required to show proof of being the Authorized Account Holder. In the event if a dispute regarding the identity of the individual who actually submitted an Entry cannot be resolved to Sponsor’s satisfaction, the affected Entry will be deemed ineligible. The Website’s computer is the official timekeeping device for this Sweepstakes. No automated entry devices and/or programs are permitted. Entries generated by a script, macro or other automated means will be disqualified. Entrants must provide all information requested to be eligible for a chance to win. Incomplete, unreadable, or unintelligible Entries will be disqualified. Entries will not be returned or acknowledged by the Sponsor. Except as contemplated in these Official Rules, personal information collected in connection with this Sweepstakes will be used in accordance with the privacy policy found on the Website. All Entries submitted become the sole property of Sponsor and will not be returned. By entering, each Entrant; (a) represents that he/she is at least eighteen (18) years of age and otherwise eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes; and (b) fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and legally binding in all respects. Any person who tampers with the entry process in any way will be disqualified.

WINNING: There will be one (1) random drawing held on or about April 3, 2018. For the drawing, one (1) Grand Prize Winner will be selected from among all eligible Entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. Odds of being selected as the Grand Prize Winner will depend upon the total number of eligible Entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. The random drawing will be conducted by the Independent Administrator whose decisions are based upon their sole discretion and interpretation of these Official Rules and are final and binding in all respects. The potential Grand Prize Winner will be notified by email immediately following the random drawing, and he/she must complete and return “Required Documents” as further described in the “PRIZE CLAIMS” section below. Independent Administrator will make two (2) attempts to reach the potential Grand Prize Winner by email. If the potential Grand Prize Winner cannot be reached after two (2) attempts have been made, or, if it is determined by the Independent Administrator, in their sole discretion, that the potential Grand Prize Winner is not eligible in accordance with these Official Rules, the selected potential Grand Prize Winner forfeits his/her right to the Grand Prize (without compensation of any kind) and an alternate potential Grand Prize Winner will be selected at random from among all remaining non-winning eligible Entries received during the Sweepstakes Period.


PRIZE: The Grand Prize Winner will receive one (1) Grand Prize of a trip of his / her choice to either: India, Thailand, Mexico or Costa Rica, having a maximum Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of $5,000. The Grand Prize consists of a trip (as defined herein) for the Grand Prize Winner and one (1) guest (the “Travel Companion”).  Trip will include; (a) round trip coach class air transportation for Grand Prize Winner and one (1) guest from a major commercial airport near Grand Prize Winner’s home (as determined by Sponsor in their sole discretion) to either India, Thailand, Mexico or Costa Rica; (b) six (6) nights standard hotel accommodations (one room, double occupancy, room and tax only) at a hotel to be determined by the Sponsor in their sole discretion); (c) ground transportation to and from airport and hotel in destination country; (d) dinner or a culinary experience in the destination country; and (e) cash in the amount of $250 USD to be used as spending money or at Grand Prize Winner’s sole choosing (to be awarded in the form of a check).


If Grand Prize Winner elects to partake in any or all portions of his/her Grand Prize with no Travel Companions, the Grand Prize will be awarded to Grand Prize Winner based upon the total number of travelers and any remainder of the Grand Prize will be forfeited and shall not be subject to further or alternative compensation. All elements of the Grand Prize must be redeemed at the same time, and no changes will be permitted after confirmation of any redemption. If Grand Prize Winner is between the ages of eighteen (18) and twenty-one (21), he/she must be accompanied by an adult of at least twenty-one (21) years of age in order to check into the on-site hotel. Specific travel arrangements are subject to air travel, holiday, blackout dates, and other prize and travel restrictions. Trip must be taken by April 30, 2019 or Grand Prize will be forfeited. Reservations are subject to availability. Trip must be booked at least sixty (60) days prior to intended departure date. ARV of Grand Prize may vary depending upon the points of departure, destination city, ground transportation, and/or airline fare fluctuations. Any difference between the stated ARV and final ARV of Grand Prize will not be awarded. Grand Prize consists only of the elements expressly set forth herein; no other elements or expenses (including, without limitation, insurance, additional meals, unspecified ground transportation, phone calls, gratuities, incidentals, souvenirs, gasoline, other personal expenses, etc.) are included in the Grand Prize and all such expenses are the sole responsibility of the Grand Prize Winner. Grand Prize Winner is responsible for any air travel taxes and/or expenses, including applicable departure taxes or fees, baggage fees, inspection charges, and security charges. Grand Prize Winner and Travel Companion are responsible for obtaining all required travel documents, including but not limited to photo identification, passports and any other required travel documents, which shall be determined solely by the Grand Prize Winner. Once issued, tickets are nontransferable and may not be reissued once travel has commenced. Open tickets may not be issued and stopovers are not permitted. Travel arrangements must be made through Independent Administrator. Depictions of any part of the Grand Prize in any advertising or promotional materials may not reflect the actual Grand Prize awarded to the Grand Prize Winner. Grand Prize Winner cannot assign or transfer the Grand Prize to another person. No prize substitution or cash alternative allowed except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute the Grand Prize (or any portion thereof) with a prize of comparable or greater value, in their sole discretion.


The Independent Administrator will determine airline and flight itinerary subject to final Sponsor approval. No refund or compensation will be made in the event of the cancellation or delay of any flight. Reservations made are subject to availability and may be restricted during major holiday periods or blackout periods. A personal credit card imprint or cash deposit may be required by the hotel for incidental charges and personal expenses. In the event the personal credit card or cash deposit is required by the hotel selected by Grand Prize Winner, Grand Prize Winner will be solely responsible for supplying such personal credit card and or cash deposit and for all personal expenses / incidental charges not included as part of the Trip


PRIZE CLAIMS: Except where prohibited, the potential Grand Prize Winner will be required to complete, execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability and Publicity Release (the “Release”) and an IRS Form W-9 (“W-9 Form”) and any other documents required by Sponsor (collectively, the “Required Documents”, which includes a Travel Companion Waiver (“Waiver”) which must be signed by the Travel Companion) within seven (7) days or less from receipt of Notification from the Independent Administrator by email. If the potential Grand Prize Winner fails to return the Required Documents within the time period required, or if the email is returned as undeliverable, such potential Prize Grand Winner forfeits his/her right to the Grand Prize and an Alternate will be notified as outlined above, even if the disqualified potential Grand Prize Winner’s name may have been publicly announced. Potential Grand Prize Winner must report income to the IRS. In the event it is deemed during the verification process that the potential Grand Prize Winner does not have a unique, personal and valid social security number for Sponsor to report the tax liability associated with acceptance of the Grand Prize, such potential Grand Prize Winner will be disqualified and an Alternate will be notified as outlined above. Valid social security numbers will be determined by IRS requirements. If it is determined by the Independent Administrator, in its sole discretion, that the potential Grand Prize Winner is not eligible or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules, the potential Grand Prize Winner forfeits his/her right to the Grand Prize and an Alternate will be notified as outlined above, even if the disqualified potential Grand Prize Winner’s name may have been publicly announced. In the event that the potential Grand Prize Winner is disqualified for any reason, Sponsor/Independent Administrator shall have no liability or obligation to such individual. The Grand Prize Winner consents (and agrees to sign any additional documents required by Sponsor, to formalize, effect or perfect such consent, except where prohibited by law) for Sponsor and those acting under their authority, to use his/her name, likeness (photograph and/or video), biographical information, and voice in advertising/publicity/trade without territorial or time limitations and without compensation, notice or approval; and, the Grand Prize Winner disclaims any ownership rights of such advertising/publicity/trade material. Sponsor and Independent Administrator are not responsible for any change of email address, mailing address and/or telephone number of Entrants.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:  Should any portion of the Sweepstakes be, in Sponsor’s sole discretion, compromised by virus, worms, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes which, in the sole discretion of the Sponsor, corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper play, or submission of Entries, Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes and conduct the Sweepstakes in a manner which in its sole discretion is fair, appropriate and consistent with these Official Rules. Notice of such action by Sponsor will be posted at the Website. In such event, Sponsor reserves the right to award the Grand Prize at random from among the non-suspect Entries received up to the time of the impairment. Sponsor reserves the right in their sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify or reject any incomplete, inaccurate or false Entry. ANY ATTEMPT BY ANY PERSON TO DELIBERATELY UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAW, AND, SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. SPONSOR'S FAILURE TO ENFORCE ANY TERM OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES SHALL NOT CONSTITUTE A WAIVER OF THESE PROVISIONS.

RELEASE: By participating in this Sweepstakes, Entrants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor and each of its respective officers, directors, managers, employees, parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, agents, members, shareholders, insurers, servants, divisions, predecessors, successors, representatives, dealers, distributors, advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies, including the Independent Administrator, consultants and legal advisors (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt, redemption or use of the Grand Prize, including any travel related thereto.

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY:  The Released Parties are not responsible for (a); unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Sweepstakes; (b) electronic or human error which may occur in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of Entries; (c) any injury or damage to persons or property, which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from Entrant's participation in the Sweepstakes, including but not limited to attendance at any Grand Prize-related event or activity, if applicable;  (d) any printing or typographical errors or other incorrect or inaccurate entry information in any Sweepstakes-related materials; (e) stolen, lost, late, misdirected, corrupted, incomplete, or indecipherable Entries; or (f) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunctioning of any computer, mobile device, cable, network, hardware or software.

ENTRANTS PERSONAL INFORMATION: Information collected from Entrants is subject to Sponsor’s privacy policies, located at https://saffronroad.com/privacy-policy/. If you are selected as the Grand Prize Winner, your first name, last initial, city, and state will also be included in a publicly-available winner’s list.

WINNER’S LIST / OFFICIAL RULES REQUEST: For the name of the Grand Prize Winner or a copy of these Official Rules, please submit a self-addressed, stamped envelope for receipt by May 30, 2018 to “Saffron Road Trip Sweepstakes” (please specify Winners List or Official Rules Request), PO Box 10505, Rochester, NY 14610. A copy of these Official Rules may also be obtained at the Website anytime during the Sweepstakes Period.
